RGB by Carnovsky

I know I do this a lot, but I just have to appreciate the other artists out there in the world that do such incredible work. I can only hope to someday cultivate in myself this kind of creativity and ingenuity.

This particular artist, Carnovsky, has developed a series called RGB. Pulled directly from his website: “RGB’s technique consists in the overlapping of three different images, each one in a primary color. The resulting images from this three level’s superimposition are unexpected and disorienting. The colors mix up, the lines and shapes entwine becoming oneiric and not completely clear. Through a colored filter (a light or a transparent material) it is possible to see clearly the layers in which the image is composed. The filter’s colors are red, green and blue, each one of them serves to reveal one of the three layers.”

It’s amazing!! Check out the website

At first, I thought the top image was 3-D, but then I saw the individual layers.

Stunning work. Where such creativity is born, I’ll never know.

    Thanks for sharing.

I’m still trying to wrap my head around the thought of completing even one of those layers…he must have used the filters in order to draw them, otherwise I imagine it would be a major headache
